What is the Tatar War in Mulkora?
Every Mulkora world starts quietly: a small village, fields and resources, a growing army, alliances forming on the map. After the number of days set for that world, the Tatars appear: a faction run by the game, not by any player. That starts the Tatar War, the end-game where every eye turns to the Tatar villages and the World Wonder. There is one way to win: raise the World Wonder to level 100. Population and attack or defense points only feed the statistics and the honor roll, and a round never ends on a timer.
When do the Tatars appear?
The Tatars' date follows each world's own duration, not one fixed number for every world. When it comes, the game creates every Tatar village at once and posts global news to every player on that world. On the iOS app, with notifications allowed, you can choose to get the Tatar announcement while you are away. The open world runs at x25, which multiplies production and building, so you reach this stage with less waiting than on a slow world. Future worlds may run at other speeds.
Where do the Tatar villages appear?
The Tatars hold 13 villages. Their capital sits at the map center or the nearest free tile, and the other twelve are planned three per quarter from one layout turned into every quarter; if a planned spot is taken, the village lands on the nearest free tile, which can be in another quarter when its own quarter is full. The twelve are guarded by large garrisons, and they are special villages: only there can a World Wonder be built. The Tatar capital cannot be conquered, and it sends the waves that hit every rising Wonder.
The Tatar army
Tatar troops come in eight types: six regular units, a ram and a catapult. No player can train them, they eat no wheat, and their stats are deliberately stronger than many player units. Before you send an army, test the fight in the Battle Simulator with the Tatars as defender. In the simulator the Tatars get no population, hero or artefact bonus, so the result shows their troops alone, and the simulator does not cost Gold.
How do you conquer a Tatar village?
Send a normal attack that defeats every defender, with at least one chief surviving. Each eligible attack lowers allegiance, and at zero the village becomes yours. The source village must have fewer than two child villages when the attack lands, or the chiefs fight but do not conquer. A special village can be conquered even with no buildings left, and it stays special after the capture, so you can start the World Wonder there.
The World Wonder
The World Wonder decides the round. It is built only in the special villages that belonged to the Tatars, on one fixed site. You raise it level by level to 100; when level 100 completes, the round ends and the owner of the Wonder village is declared the winner. Its picture changes as it grows, from a bare foundation to the finished building, in stages painted for each tribe.
The Tatars attack the Wonder
At set levels along the way, once the Tatar capital exists, it sends an automatic wave with rams and catapults that targets the Wonder itself. These milestones repeat all the way up and come closer together in the last levels before 100. Each wave is a fresh army, so the Wonder village needs a strong wall and enough defenders before every wave arrives.
Why alliances unite
One player is rarely enough. Some members send attack armies to break the garrison, one carries the chiefs, and others station reinforcements in the Wonder village. Stationed troops eat the host village's wheat, so members also send resources by merchant. Live alliance chat keeps the plan moving, and alliances can sign a non-aggression pact with each other.
The winning prize
The owner of the winning Wonder receives the full victory reward in Gold. If the alliance has at least two other members, each of them also receives bonus free Gold worth a tenth of the prize, on top of it, not split from it. A two-player alliance gets no share. After the win, chat stays open for seven days. The world usually resets at least a week later, the game team can change that time, and the world card shows a 'New round in' countdown once a new round is scheduled.
A fast Tatar War
Players who look for a fast Tatar War usually want shorter queues. The open Mulkora world runs at x25, so you reach the end-game sooner, with less waiting. Future worlds may run at other speeds, and there is no fixed list of speeds.
What comes with you on the way
The Hero Journey with short levels and free Gold from chapter bosses; Zero to Hero tasks with free Gold; an AI advisor that answers in Arabic and English, with some free messages every day, then more paid from your free Gold up to a daily limit, then bought Gold; live chat with every player on the world; and an iOS app with notifications for attacks, messages, finished buildings and more. Mulkora is free to play with lots of free Gold from tasks and the Hero Journey; bought Gold is optional. Choose one of four tribes: Arab, Roman, Greek or Germanic.
A simple alliance plan
Before the Tatars appear, agree on the nearest Tatar village, on who carries the chiefs, and on a source village with room for a new child village. Test the hits in the Battle Simulator, send attack waves until no defender is left, and land the chiefs right behind them. After the capture, everyone sends reinforcements and wheat, and the new owner builds the wall, then the Wonder.
Mulkora is an independent game
Tatar War, حرب التتار, ساحة التتار, زمن التتار and عرش التتار are also names of other games and sites. Mulkora is an independent game: it is not one of them, not affiliated with them, and not anyone's official version. The name appears here because Mulkora has a real Tatar faction at the end of every world. For a comparison of games, see the 'A game like Tatar War' page.
