Can the alliance owner leave the alliance?

No. The current owner must transfer ownership to another member or disband the alliance first. After transferring ownership, the former owner may leave like any regular member.

Do alliance contracts change combat rules?

Yes. You cannot attack a member of your own alliance or an alliance linked to yours by an accepted Union contract. NAP and War contracts do not automatically block attacks, and pending contracts have no combat effect. Reinforcements remain available and are not blocked by these contracts.

Do I have to wait before joining an alliance again after leaving one?

No. There is no waiting period after you leave an alliance or are removed from one. As soon as you are no longer a member, you can ask to join an alliance, accept an invitation, or found your own, including the alliance you just left. The normal rules still apply, such as the alliance having room for another member.

How do I accept or decline an alliance invitation?

You can respond only to an invitation you received. Accepting requires you to be outside any other alliance and the alliance to have a free member slot; you then join as a regular member. Declining only removes the invitation.

How do I ask to join an alliance?

If you are not in an alliance, open the alliance's page and choose Request to join, or type its tag in the Join Alliance tab of your Embassy. The alliance needs a free member slot. If the alliance has already invited you, accept that invitation instead. You can wait on up to 5 alliances at once and cancel any of your pending requests. The alliance founder and members allowed to invite players accept or decline your request.

How do I create a new alliance?

You must not already belong to an alliance. Choose a unique short tag on the current world between 3 and 25 characters. The full/display name is optional; when provided, it must also be 3-25 characters. Starting capacity follows the highest Embassy level in your villages, with a minimum of 1 member.

How do I leave my alliance?

A regular member can leave after re-entering their account password. Their membership and alliance permissions are removed. The current owner must transfer ownership or disband first; a former owner may leave after transferring it.

How do I reject or end an alliance contract?

The owner or a member with contract-management permission can delete a contract involving their alliance. The same action rejects a pending incoming proposal or ends an active contract between the alliances.

How do I transfer alliance ownership?

The current owner selects another member of the same alliance. The chosen member must not already own another alliance. They become the new owner with all owner powers, while the former owner keeps only their delegated permissions.

How does my alliance propose a contract?

The owner or a member with contract-management permission can choose another alliance on the world and send the desired contract type. An alliance cannot contract with itself or create another contract while one already exists between the two alliances. The proposal remains pending until the other alliance accepts it.

What permissions does the alliance founder have?

The alliance founder automatically has every permission: assign positions, remove members, edit the alliance name and description, manage contracts, moderate alliance chat and invite players. Only the founder can change the alliance tag, transfer ownership of the alliance to another member, or disband the alliance. No one can change the founder's position or permissions.

Which permissions can an alliance member receive?

A member may receive an optional role label and 6 separate permissions: assign roles, remove members, edit alliance details, manage contracts, moderate alliance chat, and invite players. Ownership is not a role; the owner automatically has every permission.

Who can accept an incoming alliance contract?

The receiving alliance's owner or a member with contract-management permission can accept a proposal that is still pending and addressed to their alliance. The contract becomes active when accepted.

Who can disband an alliance, and how?

Only the alliance's current owner can disband it, and they must re-enter their account password to confirm. If ownership is transferred, the ability to disband moves to the new owner.

Who can remove a member from an alliance?

The owner or a member with the remove-member permission can remove a current member. A player cannot use this action on themselves, and the alliance owner cannot be removed. The removed player's membership and alliance permissions are cleared.

Why can't I change my own position or the alliance owner's position?

The alliance owner, or a member with permission to assign positions, can change the position and permissions of any other member. No one can change their own position or permissions, or the position and permissions of the alliance owner. After an ownership transfer, the new owner holds this protection and the former owner can be edited like any other member.
