Are all buildings available to every tribe?

No. Each building defines which tribes may use it. Shared buildings appear for their allowed tribes, while tribe-specific structures such as walls remain limited to their tribe. This rule is enforced for both placement and upgrades.

Are any buildings restricted to special villages?

Yes. The World Wonder is the only building restricted to a special village and cannot be placed in a normal capital or expansion village.

Can a village run several celebrations at once, and can I cancel one?

No. Each village can run only one celebration at a time, and small and large celebrations share that single slot. Another celebration cannot start in that village until the running one ends. Other villages can hold their own celebrations meanwhile. A celebration cannot be cancelled once started, and its resources are not refunded.

How are a building upgrade's cost and duration determined?

The wood, clay, iron, and crop cost comes from the building's next level. Duration starts from that level's base time, then follows the world speed and the village's build-time percentage. Higher Main Building levels lower that percentage and shorten construction.

How do building prerequisites work?

A building may require another building, or either member of an interchangeable pair, at a particular level. It may also conflict with another building so the two cannot coexist. The game checks tribe, village type, slot, and instance limits before accepting construction, so these requirements cannot be bypassed.

How do I demolish or lower a building?

The village needs a Main Building at level 10 or higher and cannot already have another demolition in progress. A completed ordinary building or flexible resource field is eligible, including the Main Building itself; the 4 fixed resource fields, the World Wonder, and a building under upgrade cannot be demolished, and an upgrade cannot start on a slot being demolished. One task razes the whole building whatever its level and takes a fixed 5 minutes on every server regardless of speed. You can cancel before the timer ends and leave the building untouched. On completion, the building is removed and the slot becomes empty; rebuilding the Main Building starts normally from level 1.

How long does a Town Hall celebration take?

The base time is 24 hours for a small celebration and 30 hours for a large one. It is divided by the world speed and multiplied by 10 over your Town Hall level plus 9, then rounded up to a whole second, so a higher Town Hall makes it shorter. At world speed 1 a small celebration takes 24 hours at Town Hall level 1, and a large one, which needs level 10, takes at most 56,843 seconds (about 15 hours 47 minutes). Only the Town Hall level when you start the celebration counts, so upgrading it later does not shorten a celebration already running.

How many construction tasks can I queue?

A village may run 1 construction task by default or 2 with an active Plus account. Dual-build tribes track resource fields and ordinary buildings in separate queues; other tribes share one queue.

How many culture points does a celebration give, and to which village?

A small celebration gives 500 culture points and a large one gives 2000. The points arrive when the celebration finishes, not while it runs, and go to the village that held it. They add to that village's culture points once and do not raise its daily culture rate. If the village is no longer yours when the celebration finishes, you receive nothing.

How much does each Main Building level shorten construction?

Every build time in a village is multiplied by its Main Building percentage. From level 1 to level 20 the percentage is 100, 96, 93, 90, 86, 83, 80, 77, 75, 72, 69, 67, 64, 62, 60, 58, 56, 54, 52 and 50, so a level 20 Main Building halves build times. If the Main Building is lost entirely, construction takes 3 times as long as with a level 1 Main Building. The new percentage applies once the Main Building level finishes, and times are rounded up to the whole second.

How much does the Cranny protect from raids?

The Cranny has 10 levels. From level 1 to level 10 it protects 100, 130, 170, 220, 280, 360, 460, 600, 770 and 1000 of each resource, times the world's cranny setting. You can build more Crannies once an existing one reaches level 10, and all of them add together. A Greek village's Crannies protect twice as much. When the attacker is Germanic, the total protection is cut to two thirds, rounded down. In an attack, this total is subtracted from what the attacker takes of each of the four resources.

What do small and large Town Hall celebrations cost, and what do I need to start one?

You need a Town Hall in the village. A small celebration needs Town Hall level 1 and costs 6400 wood, 6650 clay, 5940 iron and 1340 wheat. A large celebration needs Town Hall level 10 and costs 29700 wood, 33250 clay, 32000 iron and 6700 wheat. World speed does not change the cost, and the resources leave the village as soon as the celebration starts. A celebration starts only when your Town Hall is high enough and the village holds the full cost.

What happens to pending construction when a village is conquered?

A matching paid construction task transfers when the same building remains in the same slot after the village is adapted to the new owner's tribe. Otherwise it is cancelled and its paid resources return to the village up to storage capacity. Every pending demolition is cancelled on conquest because the former owner authorized it; it has no paid cost to refund. Training, research, and military queues are not inherited.

What is required to start building or upgrading a structure?

The slot and building must be valid, prerequisites must be met, and the village needs enough resources, an available build worker, and sufficient free crop. When every check passes, one task with its duration and cost is added to the build queue.

What is the difference between the Residence and the Palace?

A village can have a Residence or a Palace, never both. The Residence needs Main Building level 5. The Palace needs Main Building level 5 and Embassy level 1. Only the Palace can make a village your capital, from level 1. The Palace also costs more, takes longer to build (level 1 base time is 5000 seconds against 200 for the Residence) and gives more culture points (6 at level 1 up to 127, against 2 up to 77). Everything else is the same: both train chiefs and settlers, with 1 chief or 3 settlers at level 10 and 2 chiefs or 6 settlers at level 20, minus one slot for each village already founded or conquered from it (at most 2). Each completed level of either building adds 10 loyalty, up to a maximum of 100, and an attacker must destroy it before chiefs can lower the village's loyalty. You can build a Palace in more than one village.

Where can I build a Great Barracks or Great Stable, and what do they need?

The Great Barracks needs a Barracks at level 20, and the Great Stable needs a Stable at level 20. Neither can be built in your capital, so build them in another village. Each has 20 levels.

Where can I build the Rally Point, and does it have prerequisites?

The Rally Point can be built only in reserved slot 35 and has no building prerequisite. It is available immediately if the village does not already have one, and slot 35 accepts no other building.

Which buildings are resource fields, and what is their level limit?

The resource fields are the Woodcutter, Clay Pit, Iron Mine, and Cropland. Each field is capped at level 10 in a non-capital village. In your capital, fields can be upgraded up to level 20. Upgrading a field increases production of its related resource.

Which buildings can have multiple copies in one village?

You may build multiple Warehouses, Granaries, Crannies, Great Warehouses, and Great Granaries. The capacities of their separate copies add together; other structure types are limited to one per village. Resource fields use the 18 field plots, and an empty flexible plot may repeat a resource type already present.

Which wall belongs to each playable tribe?

Each playable tribe has one wall: City Wall 31 for Romans, Earth Wall 32 for Germanics, Palisade 33 for Greeks, and Sandstone Wall 44 for Arabs. Every wall is capped at level 20, and the Sandstone Wall has its own art and defense curve.
