Can a Hero in Coma move at all?

No. A Hero in Coma cannot leave on a mission or move between your own villages. The Hero remains in the current village until Coma ends naturally or is skipped with Gold. Only the game moves it, for example when you lose the last of your troops where it stands outside your villages: it is then moved home at once to recover there.

Can Gold be charged if Coma ends while I try to skip it?

Only 1 outcome completes. Gold is charged if the paid skip wins first; if the natural exit has already completed, the charge does not persist. You cannot be charged twice for the same Coma exit.

Can I buy HP to take a Hero out of Coma?

No. Buying HP is unavailable while the Hero remains in Coma. Wait for the timer or use the Coma-skip option first, then HP can be purchased.

Can I send my Hero alone?

Only to move it between your own villages. To reinforce another player's village or oasis, or an oasis you own, the Hero must travel with at least one troop, and the send screen tells you when it needs troops. Attacks and raids are not affected.

Do I level up the Hero manually?

No. The Hero earns experience points from battles and from newly earned Journey stars, and the game derives the level automatically from total points. There is no separate level-up task or attribute-point allocation step.

Does the Hero have separate attack, defense, or strength attributes?

No. There are no separate combat attributes or points to allocate. The Hero's combat contribution comes from level, HP ratio, and wound traits.

Does the Hero Journey give my Hero experience?

Yes. Every star you earn for the first time on a level gives your Hero 5 experience points multiplied by the chapter number and by the server speed, rounded down once for each run. Replaying a level earns experience only for stars you had not earned on it before; a replay that adds no new star gives no extra experience. On a speed 1 server, earning all 30 stars of chapter 1 is worth 150 points, which is Hero level 5.

How do I get a Hero?

When you join a server, you get your Hero at registration, with no training. It starts at level 0 with full health in your first village and carries your username. Heroes cannot be trained, and a Hero is not added automatically for a player who was already on a server before this change.

How does a Hero earn XP from battle?

XP grows with the upkeep of the enemy troops your side killed, with each killed troop counting at least 1 point of upkeep, multiplied by 0.5 plus half the power-closeness ratio and rounded down; if the whole attacking army is lost, the attacker's XP is halved. The attacking Hero earns XP from killed defenders. The defending village's own Hero earns XP only when the attack is fully repelled and the target is not an oasis.

How does Hero XP turn into levels?

Each next level costs its level number multiplied by 10 and by server speed in XP. At speed 1, level 1 costs 10 points, level 2 costs 20 more, and so on. Hero level is capped at 150.

How does HP affect a Hero's combat power?

The Hero contribution is half a point per level, multiplied by current HP divided by maximum HP and adjusted by the relevant wound traits. Full HP gives the full contribution, 50 percent HP gives half, and 0 HP gives none.

How fast does my Hero march?

The Hero marches at 6 fields per hour, multiplied by the world's Army Speed setting, and gets the same Tournament Square and artefact speed bonuses as troops. The Maimed Leg wound makes it 5% slower. A group always moves at the speed of its slowest member, so sending the Hero with faster troops slows the whole group to the Hero's speed, while with slower troops the group moves at their speed.

How is a Hero's maximum HP calculated?

Maximum HP equals 1000 plus 20 multiplied by Hero level. A level 1 Hero has 1020 HP, level 50 has 2000 HP, and level 150 has 4000 HP.

How long does a Hero's Coma last?

Base duration is 24 hours, multiplied by 10 divided by (Hero's Mansion level + 9), then divided by server speed. At speed 1 it is 24 hours with no investment or Hero's Mansion level 1, about 12.6 hours at level 10, and about 8.3 hours at level 20. The timer is fixed when Coma begins and does not change if the Hero's Mansion level changes later.

How much HP does a Hero lose in battle?

Damage is the rounded result of the casualty rate of the troops the Hero boosted, multiplied by maximum HP and by 0.5. On attack, those are the troops it marches with. On defense, they are all your troops defending where it stands, from any of your villages. If 10% of those troops die, the Hero loses about 5% of maximum HP. If none of your troops defend where the Hero stands, it loses no HP there.

How quickly does a Hero regenerate HP?

HP regenerated per minute equals the Hero's Mansion level divided by 20, and a village without a Hero's Mansion counts as level 1. Level 20 restores 1 HP per minute, level 10 restores 0.5 HP per minute, and with no Hero's Mansion the Hero still recovers 3 HP per hour. The Hero's Mansion in the Hero's current village is used, and a Hero on the move recovers at the level 1 rate. There is no regeneration during Coma.

What are Hero wound traits?

• A Hero may acquire persistent wound traits when leaving Coma. • Veteran increases the Hero's attack contribution by 5%; Scarred increases its defense contribution by 5%; One-Eye reduces its attack contribution by 3%. These percentages modify the Hero bonus, not total army power. • Maimed Leg reduces march speed of Hero-bearing missions by 5%.

What are the Hero's 3 states?

• Alive: HP is above 50%. The Hero passes the health requirement; normal mission rules still apply, and power scales with HP. • Wounded: outside Coma with HP at 50% or below. The Hero can transfer to another village you own, but cannot attack, raid, scout or reinforce an oasis or another player. • Coma: 0 HP with an active timer. The Hero adds no combat power and cannot be voluntarily dispatched until the timer expires or is skipped. Automatic relocation after battle is separate.

What happens to my Hero when my troops leave or die away from my villages?

When the last troops of the Hero's group are sent home from the Rally Point, the Hero goes home with them, so those last troops cannot leave while the Hero is in Coma. In your own villages the Hero may stay without them. Outside your villages (at another player's village or oasis, or at your own oasis) your Hero is not left alone when your troops there die: if its group dies while other troops of yours survive there, it joins them; if an attack, raid, scouting battle or starvation kills the last of your troops there, the Hero walks home by itself, and a Hero in Coma is moved home at once and recovers there. If the village its group came from is conquered or destroyed, the Hero falls into Coma, and outside your villages it is moved to one of your villages, normally your capital.

What happens when a Hero's Coma ends naturally?

The Hero changes to Wounded at 0 HP and may acquire a wound trait. Regeneration starts from the moment the timer ended, so the next later read can already include HP earned since then. There is no instant jump to 51% HP.

What happens when I skip my Hero's Coma with Gold?

In the Hero's Mansion, while your Hero is in Coma, a Gold button beside the recovery timer ends the Coma at once. By default it costs 50 Gold, and Free Gold is used first. The Hero does not come back at full health: it becomes Wounded at 0 HP and starts regenerating from that moment, with the same 25% chance of a wound trait as a natural recovery. You can then buy HP or wait for it to heal. If you do not have enough Gold, nothing changes.

What is Hero resilience?

A resilience stack absorbs a hit that would have put the Hero into Coma. It consumes 1 stack, sets the Hero to 50% of maximum HP in Wounded state, and does not roll a wound trait for that hit. The 24-hour stack recovery clock restarts when the stack is consumed.

When can a Hero be sent on an outbound mission?

• For the Hero to join an attack, raid, scouting or reinforcement mission, the Hero must be outside Coma with HP above 50%; exactly 50% is insufficient. This includes reinforcing your own oasis. This is a condition on Hero participation, not a requirement to include a Hero when sending ordinary soldiers. • A Wounded Hero may transfer to another village you own. This exception does not include oases. • A Hero in Coma cannot be voluntarily dispatched. Normal troop and mission restrictions still apply.

When does the Hero Journey pay Gold?

Each chapter of the Hero Journey pays a one-time Gold reward for winning its boss level. When your first win there is settled, the chapter's reward amount, set in the game economy, is converted to Gold at the current rate and paid. If the chapter's reward is 0 at that moment, nothing is paid then; instead, the reward is paid the first time you finish that boss level again, win or lose, while the chapter has a reward, at the amount and rate in force at that time. The Gold is added straight to your Free Gold and to your Gold history, not to the Reward Bank. Each chapter pays only once, and Gold you have received is not recalculated if the rate changes later. By default chapters 1 to 10 pay 10, 10, 10, 15, 15, 20, 20, 25, 25 and 25 Gold, 175 Gold in all; the game can change these amounts.
